From residential developments to the re-development of stadia to complex bridge and tunnel construction, almost all structures require the design and implantation of temporary works.

By working collaboratively with other professionals, Clients and Stakeholders our approach is to understand the constraints, understand the challenges and maximise productivity.

By developing the construction methodology with the Construction partner, the design is directly linked to the construction phase. Riddwood develops the design and methodology with an understanding of the material or equipment selection, the location and site constraints, the availability of equipment and specific Contractor capabilities.

    Downer Seymour Whyte JV

    Riddwood developed the design and sequencing methodology for the temporary restraint and positioning of the composite steel trough girders at both Strongs Road and Pestell’s Lane on the $450m Princes Highway Upgrade at Bomaderry. Riddwood also produced temporary works design of the placement of precast decking panels and a bespoke hanging walkway system which enabled the application of truss screeds during deck construction

  • Reading and Leeds Festival Stages

    Festival Republic (UK)

    For over 20 years, Riddwood have designed the stages, supports structures and facilities for some of the largest events held in the U.K. Riddwood have designed and inspected temporary structures from London Fashion Week to the Reading and Leeds Festival. Riddwood have worked with promoters and stage designers on ensuring temporary structures as large as multi-storey buildings can be safely erected, all on rigid deadlines.

  • Kings Highway Nelligan Bridge Project

    Seymour Whyte

    Riddwood have been engaged by Seymour Whyte to undertake the design of both permanent and temporary works for the $150m Nelligen Bridge Replacement. Riddwood’s design eliminated the requirement for underwater welding and reduced the requirement for temporary jetties. Other works include sheet piled retaining walls, access pontoons, formwork and falsework for the bridge deck.

  • WestConnex - Rozelle Interchange

    Seadar Contractors (JHCPB JV)

    Riddwood designed a bespoke cantilevered falsework and formwork solution for Seadar Contractors to install on behalf of JHCPB JV on the Rozelle Interchange Project. Riddwood were engaged to develop the solution in response to challenging site constraints and the immediate proximity of live Light Rail infrastructure and project boundaries.
